
I think these two gentleman in the recent anti-bike/anti-transit/anti-scooter bit of dreck from BMW should be re-appropriated as icons of the new everyday bicycling culture. Perhaps the ad folks should have dressed them a bit more shabbily, because I certainly don’t see what problem they’re trying to convey.

That makes no sense whatsoever – those gentlemen look like any well turned out businessmen cycling to work in Amsterdam or Copenhagen, or even some cabinet ministers!

I can’t see how can TED accept continuing to be sponsored by an auto maker.
And indeed, they look great and even better on a bike! That would be an impossible picture around here (PT, weather, culture) for now, but it is an every day picture in more advanced places like those referred to by Maria.
